Tartan Day Mocktail Competition Winner

Buddies' Tart an Fizz

50 mls of Irn Bru
1 tsp of fresh Coulis (made from Scottish Raspberries and Blackberries)
1 tsp each of lime and blackcurrant cordial slice of Scottish strawberry to garnish.

Method
Pour all ingredients into a container with lid, shake for 30 seconds, open carefully with lid, shake for 30 seconds, open carefully (fizzy) and pour over crushed ice, garnish with slice strawberry.
Use Martini style cocktail glass or small wine glass.

Whisky Cocktails from Glenkinchie Distillery in East Lothian

Glenkinchie Smash

50ml Glenkinchie single malt whisky
3 pieces lemon
Few sprigs of mint
a dash of sugar syrup

Method
Muddle the lemon, mint and sugar syrup in a tumbler - fill the tumbler with crushed ice add Glenkinchie single malt whisky and stir - Add straws (2.2 units of alcohol).

Winterfield Old-Fashioned

50ml Glenkinchie Single Malt Whisky - This one is known as Winter Old-fashioned
Teaspoon clear honey
40ml Shot clear apple juice
Dot bitters
Slice of apple

Method
Muddle into glass the hone, bitters and apple juice until blended. Then add Glenkinchie single malt whisky with ice, stirring until glass is thoroughly frosted.

Serve in an old fashioned glass garnished with a slice of apple (2.15 units of alcohol).

Whisky Cocktails from Glencadam Distillery in Angus

The Carnoustie Country

A measure of Glencadam 15-year-old Single Highland Malt Whisky A glug of Chambord (a French liqueur made from black raspberries) Lots of lemonade A few Angus raspberries.

Method
Into a martini glass pour a glug of Chambord, add the Glencadam Whisky, top up with lemonade and drop in a couple of raspberries. Ice is optional.
